MISS SHARNI
Owner/Director and Instructor
Gets too excited about ordering in dance costumes, isn’t the one who ever wears them
Miss Sharni has been running SDS since the beginning of 2019, bringing to life her vision of a recreational dance school that supports students and families. Starting from a team of two (Miss Sharni and Miss Phebe) with 50 students and 8 classes per week, we have come a long way. Now with a team of 9 instructors, 120 students and 25 classes per week, we are very excited to be branching out and giving as much experience as we can to our valued students.
Prior to SDS, Miss Sharni was managing and teaching at a local recreational dance school. Her journey began with them in 2009, performing as a student before being offered a teaching position - she in fact used to teach Miss Phebe and Miss Charlotte! Miss Sharni danced throughout her five years in high school and competed in three Hip Hop competitions through Pine Rivers State High School ‘Bring It On’ program. She predominately performed in her local recreational dance school which inspired her to create a beautiful dance environment of her own.
Miss Sharni is experienced in Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary and Beginner Ballet with additional knowledge of basic tumbling and cheer. Alongside teaching afternoon classes, she also teaches ‘Harmony Early Education’ day care children as well as residents at ‘Lodges On George’ Retirement Home.
